Two people found dead in car at Durlston Country Park

Lighthouse Road which leads to the park was closed and a cordon put in place

Two people have been found dead in a car in a country park in Dorset.

A man in his 50s and a woman in her 40s were found in Lighthouse Road, Durlston Country Park, near Swanage, just after 08:15 BST.

The road leading to the country park was closed and a cordon put in place.

Dorset Police later said the deaths were not being treated as suspicious and the man and woman's next of kin had not yet been informed.

The coroner has been notified and an inquiry into the circumstances of the deaths is under way.
