People in Weymouth and the West Bay areas have been warned to prepare for flooding.

Flood warnings have been issued by the Environment Agency (EA) for the Preston Beach Road area in Weymouth and West Bay's harbour, beach and esplanade.

The EA has urged people to stay away from "beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous".

It said an update for both areas was due by midday on Wednesday.
