A bus company is introducing a new fleet of 28 double decker buses.
The Morebus vehicles will operate the M1 and M2 services between Bournemouth and Poole.
The company is committed to reducing congestion in the region and said the £7.7m investment "is a huge step in that direction".
Andrew Wickham from Morebus said: "We're increasing the capacity of our vehicles, which could potentially take up to 75 cars off our roads.
"We know just how important it is to make sustainable transport a more attractive proposition, in order to entice people out of their cars - and this investment is a huge step in that direction.
"Reducing congestion and helping to improve air quality is a responsibility we all share, and we're delighted to report that each of these new buses carries a Euro 6 engine - cleaner than the latest generation of diesel cars."
He added that the new buses are more spacious, with lighter flooring, and offer USB charging points as well as a contactless "tap on tap off" ticketing service.
The upper deck is laid out in a similar way to a coach, and there is a "stop" button on the back of every other seat.
Morebus is launching its new buses in Bournemouth Square at 10:30 BST.
