Police have released photos in an effort to identify a man whose body was found near a tent in Dorset woodland.

The body was discovered in Goathorn Woods, Studland, on Saturday 1 July.

Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious but said they had found a diary inside the tent which contained family photos.

Anyone who recognises the people or dog in the images are urged to contact Dorset Police which is carrying out enquiries on behalf of the coroner.

Officers said DNA and other checks had not yielded any results.

PC Stuart Wilson of Wareham Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "This is a very sad incident and we are keen to follow all lines of enquiry available to us so that the man can be identified and his family can be made aware."
