Poole crash: Woman, 90, seriously injured in street

The incident happened along Blandford Road North near Douglas Close in Poole

A 90-year-old pedestrian has been seriously hurt after being hit by a car in a coastal town.

The woman was struck by a blue Ford Focus in Poole just after 09:10 GMT on Blandford Road North, near Douglas Close.

Dorset Police appealed for any witnesses or anyone who had dashcam footage to come forward to the investigation.

The force said the woman was taken to hospital with "very serious" injuries.

The woman's family has been informed, it added.
