Two people have been charged with assault following incidents at two hunt events.

A 33-year-old man from the Colehill area and a 34-year-old man from the Poole area were charged after two separate incidents at the Blackmore and Sparkford Vale Hunt in Dorset.

The alleged altercations took place in September and October last year, Dorset Police said.

Both men are due to appear at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on 16 February.

The 33-year-old was charged with assault and theft over an incident on 26 September at Load Lane, Hilfield.

He was also charged with theft, and the 34-year-old with assault and attempted theft, over a second incident on 3 October in the area of Great Head lane, Dorchester.

They both have conditions not to attend any hunt-related activity.
