Cookbook tribute to mum raises funds for Dorset hospice

A woman has written a cookbook as a tribute to her mother who died of lung cancer.
Abbie Turner's mum, Emma Jolliffe, was cared for by Dorset charity Weldmar Hospice after the shock diagnosis in August 2020.
The book features recipes Ms Jolliffe had shared with her daughter when she was a child.
Proceeds from the book will go to the charity, which provides specialist end-of-life care to adults.
"What we went through as a family I wouldn't wish on anyone else," said Ms Turner.
"So if I can help other families get the support they need in the future, I know that mum would be looking down and be so proud."
"The support she received was amazing, and I want other people to get that too."
She added her family would be "forever thankful" to the "brilliant" staff at Weldmar who "made sure Mum had everything she needed be at home in the end, in comfort and without pain", adding "it meant the absolute world".
Emma Jolliffe died in May 2022, after the hospice arranged a hospital bed and equipment, meaning she could fulfil her wish to pass away at home.
Ms Turner, who works as a personal trainer, said a "lightbulb moment" while talking to a client about healthy recipes gave her the idea for the cook book.
She then spent six months jotting recipes down in a notebook, with many being based on meals her mum used to make.
