Weymouth's former rectory to be restored after laying empty

A historical building which has been empty for more than a decade is to be brought back into use.
The Clipper pub in Weymouth shut down in 2013 following the collapse of the Bramwell Pub Group.
The 18th-century Grade II listed building in St Thomas Street is now set to be restored.
The pair of houses, which once served as a rectory for St Mary's Church, have been bought by commercial lettings company DJ Property.
Chief executive Mickey Jones said: "This Georgian gem holds immense potential, and we look forward to revitalising it to its former grandeur while preserving its unique architectural heritage.
"There are exciting plans to make this building the centre of the community, providing employment opportunities, whilst respectfully restoring its former glory."
The firm said the building would "undergo restoration and repurposing to bring it back into commercial use".
