Markham Road: Police close Bournemouth street after incident in house

A road has been closed after police were called to a concern for welfare incident at a house in Bournemouth.

Officers were called to the property on Markham Road in the Charminster area just after 06:00 BST.

The windows of the property had reportedly been smashed and a man was said to have a knife, according to Dorset Police.

The force said it was trying to engage with the man in an effort to resolve the situation safely.
