Dovercourt's seafront skating rink's facelift
- Published
An Essex seafront roller skating rink is to be brought into use in time for Christmas.
The rink in Dovercourt's Lower Marine Parade will undergo a £30,000 refurbishment, which will start in November.
Tendring District Council is carrying out the project to improve the tourism offering for the area.
Improvements will also include a disabled access ramp to the rink and clubhouse.
The project is part of a £130,000 scheme to boost the appearance of Dovercourt, which has struggled with vandalism.
The boating lake is also set to get a facelift and new toilets were recently built.
