Two teenage pedestrians have been injured after a car being driven by an 87-year-old man mounted the pavement.
The 16-year-old girls were in Head Street, Colchester, in Essex when the car hit them before coming to a stop at a shop wall.
One girl was trapped between the car and the shop and is in a stable condition in hospital. The other received grazes to her back.
Police believe the driver may have been taken ill at the wheel of his vehicle.
