Essex policeman suspended over explicit image complaint
- Published
A policeman has been accused of sending a sexually explicit image of himself to a woman who rang 999, it has emerged.
It was allegedly sent by the Essex PC through a social networking site to a woman in the Rayleigh area.
The constable is understood to have come into contact with the complainant after she dialled 999.
An Essex Police spokeswoman said the force was investigating "an allegation of inappropriate communication". The PC was suspended in late June, she added.
Police would not confirm his identity.
