Essex man and woman quizzed over poppy tin thefts

Collection boxes containing cash were taken and replaced with empty ones
A man and a woman have been arrested and questioned on suspicion of stealing Poppy Appeal collection boxes from at least 14 locations across Essex.
A 51-year-old woman from Tiptree and a 53-year-old man from Chelmsford were detained by police on Saturday.
Both were released on bail to return to police on Sunday 7 December.
Fourteen British Legion boxes are known to have been taken in Chelmsford, Colchester, Tiptree and Brentwood and each was replaced with an empty one.
