Richard Waterhouse pleaded guilty to Paul Olney's manslaughter

A man has admitted unlawfully killing a man who was stabbed to death in a house in Essex.

Paul Olney, 35, was found dead at a property in Denham Close, Wivenhoe, on 6 June.

Richard Waterhouse, 31, of no fixed address, appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court and pleaded guilty to Mr Olney's manslaughter.

Waterhouse is due to be sentenced on Friday.

The knife was never found and Waterhouse was arrested near the scene shortly after.

A 37-year-old man from Colchester was also arrested but he was later released without charge.
