Two arrests made over Colchester liquid attack

Essex Police said two men, aged 25 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm

Police have made two arrests after a man was beaten and left with facial burns from an unidentified liquid which was thrown at him.

The man was with a woman at the time of the attack near shops in Magdalen Street, Colchester, on Wednesday.

The man and the woman were verbally threatened before he was attacked.

Essex Police said two men, aged 25 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm. They were released on police bail until 14 December.
