Christy Walshe death: Michael Strudwick charged with murder

A man has been charged with murder following the fatal shooting of a woman.

Christy Walshe, 40, of Southend, was shot in the face at an address in Sutton Road, Southend, on Sunday night.

She was taken to hospital but died on Tuesday afternoon.

Michael Strudwick, 33, also of Sutton Road, has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm. He is due to appear before Southend magistrates on Wednesday.
