Motorcyclist killed in M11 crash in Essex

A motorcyclist died in a crash with another vehicle on the M11 in Essex.

The 63-year-old man, from Dunmow in Essex, died at the scene of the smash on the southbound carriageway between junction eight for Stansted and junction seven for Harlow.

The crash at about 05:00 GMT involved a small dark-coloured vehicle which failed to stop at the scene.

Witnesses reported the vehicle driving erratically, as well as tailgating and undertaking.

At the time of the crash, the motorcyclist was wearing a distinctive helmet with green and white flashing lights.

Essex Police has appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
