Tributes have poured in for a schoolboy who died in a "tragic" crash near his school in Essex.
Flowers were left outside Mayflower High School in Stock for a 15-year-old who has been named locally as Freddie Coleman.
A man who was arrested at the scene of the crash in Stock Road, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, has been released under investigation.
Another boy was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition.
'Forever young never forgotten'
Scores of flowers, candles and messages were put outside the school to remember the teenager.
One read: "Forever young never forgotten, fly high cheeky chappy."
Another said: "RIP Fred, you will be so missed by everyone, love and kisses."
A spokesperson for Mayflower High thanked the community for its "overwhelming support".
It said a book of condolences had been left at its main reception for people who wanted to pay their respects.
A GoFundMe page had also been set up online to raise money towards funeral costs. More than £25,000 was donated.
On Friday, Det Insp Mark Fraser said: "This is quite clearly an incredibly tragic incident which will be felt by many people across the area, not least the families of the two young victims.
"Our role is to establish the circumstances which led up to this incident, which we will do meticulously and I would ask people not to speculate, whether in person or online."
