Colchester: Two arrested after boy, 16, stabbed

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed.

Essex Police said officers were called to the junction of Queen Street and Priory Street, in Colchester at about 18:30 on Tuesday.

The victim was taken to hospital with stab wounds but his condition is no longer life-threatening. 

Two men, aged 19 and 21, were arrested on Thursday in Colchester on suspicion of attempted murder.

A man, 20, was initially arrested on suspicion of attempted murder but has since been released and will face no further action. Det Ch Insp Greg Wood, of the Kent and Essex serious crime directorate, said: "This investigation continues to move at pace, with officers and staff from across the force working tirelessly."
