Twinstead: Man in his 40s dies after crash on A131

A man in his 40s has died in a crash on the A131 near Twinstead

A motorbike rider in his 40s has died at the scene of a crash on Saturday.

Essex Police attended the A131 near Twinstead after it received reports of a collision between a box van and a motorbike at about 10:40 GMT.

A 29-year-old man from Enfield, London, who was driving the box van, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has since been released under investigation after he was questioned. The road reopened at about 18:25 GMT.

Essex Police has made an appeal for anyone with dashcam footage to come forward to help with inquiries.
