Essex Police arrested three people after a man was found with stab wounds in Harlow last month

Detectives investigating a stabbing on a residential street have charged three men with attempted murder.

Essex Police were called to Fold Croft in Harlow, Essex, at about 20:00 GMT on 24 January and found paramedics treating a man in a "serious condition".

The victim is now recovering in hospital, the police said.

Three men - aged 18, 19 and 20 - were expected to appear before Chelmsford magistrates on Thursday.

Police said the assault did not pose a threat to the wider public.

Det Supt Dan Morrissey said: "I am all too aware of the understandable concern shared by residents following this serious assault.

"This concern was matched by our continued determination to establish the circumstances leading up to this incident, resulting in several arrests and now charges against three people."
