Police have warned those travelling to Stansted Airport that the closure will impact their journey

An 80-year-old man died after he crashed at a roundabout in the early hours, police said.

Essex Police officers were called to the Marks Farm roundabout in Braintree at about 03:45 GMT earlier.

They had to shut access to the A120 and A131 and have appealed for witnesses to support their investigation.

The man's family have been informed of his death and were receiving specialist support from officers, a police spokesperson said.

The force said that the A120 and A131 have since fully reopened, having previously warned there would be a "significant impact" on those travelling to London Stansted Airport.
