Man suffers serious hand injury after becoming trapped in machinery

A man has been taken to hospital with a "traumatic" injury after becoming trapped in machinery.
The East of England Ambulance Service were called just after 12:30 GMT to Chalkwell Esplanade in Westcliff-on-Sea.
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service found the person trapped in machinery.
The Essex and Herts Air Ambulance transported the patient to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford for further treatment.
A spokesperson for Essex County Fire and Rescue service said: "Firefighters used specialist equipment to free the casualty by 2.01pm. They were left in the care of the Ambulance Service."
Essex Police said it attended the scene after receiving reports that a man had "suffered a serious injury to his hand".
