Long delays after police incident on Dartford Crossing

Traffic was held while police dealt with an incident

Motorists have been warned of long delays after traffic was held for almost an hour during a police incident on the Dartford Crossing.

Essex Police said it was called to concerns about someone on the A282 QE2 Bridge shortly before 05:20 BST.

Traffic was stopped on the southbound carriageway and was released by 06:34.

National Highways East warned that delays of an hour were expected as traffic started moving again.
