CCTV released in hunt for Prestbury war memorial vandals

Police in Gloucestershire have released CCTV footage of a man dumping a piece of a vandalised stone war memorial.
The memorial in the village of Prestbury was knocked over and smashed into pieces late on Friday.
The footage shows the driver of a silver car throwing a piece of the memorial on to the side of the road, near the roundabout on Lexington Square, Cheltenham, at about 23:25 BST.
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.
In a direct plea to those involved, Sgt Mark Stephens said: "If you caused this damage, look into yourself and think of the horrors those named on that memorial faced when their lives were taken from them. They were almost certainly younger than you are now.
"You have an opportunity to put some of this right by doing what you know you must do. Show a fraction of their courage and come forward."
