No appeal over Slad Valley housing rejection

A building firm has said it will not appeal against a decision to reject plans for homes in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Barratt Homes wanted to build 48 properties in the Slad Valley, Stroud.

Stroud District Council, which received more than 800 objection letters to the plans, used helium balloons to show the height of the buildings to residents.

In August, Barrett Homes said it was "disappointed" and that it would appeal against the decision.
