Tewkesbury flood warning issued for River Severn

  • Published

A flood warning has been issued for part of the River Severn at Tewkesbury, while other parts of Gloucestershire remain on alert.

The Environment Agency said flooding was expected at Severn Ham, including Abbey Mill, Upper and Lower Lode and Shakespeare Court.

Water levels at the Mythe are now expected to peak on Thursday evening.

On Tuesday heavy downpours across England led to homes being evacuated and widespread disruption.

Many roads were also closed as a result of flooding.
