Road into flood-hit Gloucestershire village Tirley open again

A main road into a Gloucestershire village which was cut off because of flooding during November and December has reopened.

Tirley was left inaccessible after routes including the B4213 at Haw Bridge were submerged twice in heavy rain at the end of 2012.

Gloucestershire County Council announced that water levels had dropped and the road had reopened on Sunday.

When the village flooded in 2007 some 40 properties were affected.
