Cinderford stabbing leads to murder arrest

Police said the victim was treated by paramedics but died from his injuries

A man has been stabbed to death at a property in the Forest of Dean.

The victim, who was discovered at 22:10 GMT on Friday, was treated at the scene in High Street, Cinderford, but died of his injuries.

A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of murder, Gloucestershire Police said.

"A scene guard is currently in place at a property while officers remain at the scene," a force spokesperson added.

"Officers from the Major Crime Investigation Team are in the early stages of an investigation and appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened or has information to come forward."
