An inquest into the death of singer James Morrison's partner Gill Catchpole has been opened.
Emergency services were called after Ms Catchpole was found by Mr Morrison in her home in Whitminster, Gloucestershire, on Friday.
Samples were taken for toxicology analysis after the 45-year-old's death, which is not being treated as suspicious.
The inquest has been adjourned to a date yet to be fixed.
Coroner Roland Wooderson said Mr Morrison, whose full name is James Morrison Catchpole, attended the address after being contacted by a friend who had called at the property but could not gain access.
Police and paramedics were called and Ms Catchpole was pronounced dead at 09:37 GMT.
A pathologist has provisionally given her cause of death as ligature suspension, the inquest heard.
