Gloucester man arrested for Christmas Eve knifepoint robbery

An 18-year-old man from Gloucester has been arrested following a knifepoint robbery on Christmas Eve.

The incident happened at about 01:30 GMT on 24 December on Cainscross Road in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

A masked offender approached the victim and threatened him with a knife, before stealing the victim's mobile phone, wallet and keys.

Gloucestershire Police have arrested a man on suspicion of robbery. He was later released on bail.

The victim, who is aged in his 20s, was not injured but was shaken by the ordeal, police said.

Investigating officers say they are not appealing for any further information at this time.
