Drugs and knives seized by police from Gloucester flat

Armed police officers have taken part in a raid which seized drugs and knives from a flat in Gloucester.

The operation took place earlier in Claremont Road, near London Road, after a drugs warrant was issued.

Sniffer dogs were also used during the search to locate a quantity of drugs at the address.

In a statement, Gloucestershire Constabulary said officers specialising in targeting illegal drugs were involved.

"Vanguard and firearms officers executed a drugs warrant at an address earlier," it said.

"Searches took place at the address and a small quantity of drugs and knives were seized."

It is not known what type of drugs were found. No arrests were made.
