Cheltenham Co-op ram raid sees cash machine stolen
- Published
A Range Rover was used in an overnight ram raid which ended with a group of men stealing a cash machine.
Gloucestershire Police said the vehicle was deliberately driven into the front of the Midcounties Co-op on Bath Road in Cheltenham just after 04:00 GMT.
The men then got into a second car, possibly an Audi or BMW, before driving off in the direction of Tewkesbury, the force added.
The road remains closed while investigations continue.
Officers later found the cash machine in the back of a van, and inquiries are ongoing to establish any links with similar crimes in the county.
Gloucestershire Police has asked anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the time of the raid to contact officers.
Midcounties Co-op has been approached for comment.
