Pair plead not guilty to allowing death of Newent baby

Jack Wheeler and Melissa Wilband have pleaded "not guilty" to manslaughter
A man and woman have pleaded not guilty to manslaughter and causing or allowing the death of a child.
Melissa Wilband from Newent in the Forest of Dean and Jack Wheeler from Ledbury, Herefordshire are accused of unlawfully killing Lexi Wilband.
Four-month-old Lexi was admitted to hospital in April 2020 but died six days later.
Wilband and Wheeler appeared at Bristol Crown Court on 19 February and pleaded not guilty.
The trial has been adjourned and will take place on 3 March 2025, with a pre-trial review due to happen in January.
