Thieves steal 150 Christmas trees in Hampshire

About 150 Christmas trees have been stolen by thieves targeting garden centres in Hampshire.

Police say the thefts took place overnight on Monday into Tuesday morning and might be linked.

Park Place Farm Nursery near Titchfield had nearly 50 taken and later about 100 trees were taken from the nearby Silver Springs Garden Centre.

Both the garden centres are in rural locations on a well-used route between Wickham and Titchfield.

PC Martin Jones said: "It is possible that members of the public may have seen something and presumed the trees were being delivered."
