Jamie Dack death: Four in court over body-in-bin case

Three men and a woman have appeared in court charged with the murder of a man found stabbed and burned in an industrial bin in Southampton.

The body of Jamie Dack, 22, was found on Sunday after fire crews were called to the Empress Road Industrial Estate.

Southampton Magistrates Court heard he was stabbed in the neck several times.

Ryan Ian Woodmansey, 31, Andrew William Christopher Dwyer-Skeats, 25, Lee Matthew Nicholls, 28, and Donna Louise Chalk, 20, were remanded in custody.

They have also been charged with conspiracy to rob and false imprisonment.

When the four appeared at the preliminary hearing they spoke only to confirm their names, addresses and dates of birth.

Homeless hostel

The prosecution told the hearing Mr Dack was kidnapped, held against his will at an address in Southampton and attacked with a baseball bat.

The next day he was stabbed to death, put in a bin and set on fire, the court heard.

All four were remanded to appear before Winchester Crown Court on Monday.

Mr Woodmansey, of no fixed abode, Mr Dwyer-Skeats, of Earls Road, Southampton, and Mr Nicholls, of Southampton Street, Southampton, were also charged with causing grievous bodily harm to Jamie Dack.

Ms Chalk's address was given as Earls Road, Southampton.

The body of Mr Dack, from Millbrook Road West, Southampton, was found by fire crews who were called to Dukes Road on the industrial estate at about 03:10 BST on Sunday.

In the weeks before his death the 22-year-old had been living at a hostel for homeless young people.
