A water bottle station has been set up at Gang Warily Community Centre in Fawley for affected residents

About 6,000 homes in the New Forest have been left without water after a mains pipe burst.

Residents have been forced to fill up water bottles at an emergency station in Fawley following the burst in Rownhams on Friday afternoon.

Southern Water said homes in Hythe, Dibden Purlieu, Holbury, Marchwood and Calshot had all been affected.

The company apologised to people affected and said repairs were taking longer than expected.
