Here are the latest rates of cases of Covid-19 in Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight.

The figures are the number of coronavirus cases per 100,000 people in the seven days up to and including 4 April compared with the week before, shown in brackets.

The breakdown of the figures by local authority area is:

  • Southampton - 670 (down from 856)

  • Portsmouth - 653 (down from 960)

  • Rushmoor - 690 (down from 1,093)

  • Gosport - 771 (down from 1,182)

  • Havant - 670 (down from 1,003)

  • Winchester - 785 (down from 1,139)

  • Fareham - 778 (down from 1,213)

  • New Forest - 762 (down from 1,078)

  • Basingstoke and Deane - 746 (down from 1,094)

  • East Hampshire - 749 (down from 1,180)

  • Eastleigh - 812 (down from 1,156)

  • Test Valley - 761 (down from 1,197)

  • Hart - 784 (down from 1,202)

  • Isle of Wight - 730 (down from 1,113)

For comparison, the figure for England is 578 (down from 842).
