Brockenhurst to Southampton rail delays due to broken-down train
- Published
Train travellers faced delays and cancellations on the Southampton Central line after a train broke down.
The train came to a halt earlier on the line between Brockenhurst and Southampton.
South Western Railway (SWR) said a "rescue train" had recovered the 07:20 BST Poole to London Waterloo service after it lost power.
All lines have now reopened, but the firm said services would be cancelled, delayed or revised for a time.
Replacement buses were brought in to run between Southampton Central and Brockenhurst in both directions.
SWR apologised for any delays, but estimated disruption would end by 18:00 BST.
