M27 in Hampshire reopens after two-vehicle crash causes delay

Drivers were urged to re-route their journey following the crash near Romsey

A two-vehicle crash shut part of the M27 for several hours causing major tailbacks.

The incident between junctions two and three near Romsey in Hampshire happened at about 13:15 BST.

The westbound carriageway was shut by police but has since reopened.

Highways England warned there was still congestion for up to three miles so drivers should allow extra journey time in the area.

Hampshire police has been asked to provide more details about the crash.
