A31: Flooding causes delays through New Forest route

Flood-water has led to a lane shutting on a stretch of the A31 westbound near Picket Post
Drivers are being warned of lengthy delays due to flooding on a major route through the New Forest.
One lane of the A31 westbound has been shut near Picket Post heading towards the A338 near Ringwood.
National Highways said delays of more than an hour had been reported with traffic queuing back to Stoney Cross near junction 1 of the M27 at Cadnam.
Motorists are being urged to allow extra time for their journey or seek alternative routes.
