Gosport murder investigation: Fourth person charged over man's death

A man died after being attacked in Keyes Road, Gosport, in the early hours of Friday

A fourth person has been charged over the death of a man in Gosport.

Levi Kent, 22, died after being found seriously injured in Keyes Road shortly after 02:30 GMT on Friday.

Tommy West, 18 and Aiden West, 24, were both charged with murder, robbery and possession of a bladed article.

Sarah Flynn, 35 was charged with assisting an offender. Joanne West, 45, has now also been charged with two offences of assisting an offender.

Tommy West, of Fisgard Road, and Aiden West, of Tudor Close, Gosport, appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court on Monday.

They have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on Wednesday.

Sarah Flynn, of James Close, Gosport and Joanne West, of no fixed address in Fareham, were both due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

Police have made four other arrests in connection with the man's death:

  • A 19-year-old man, from Gosport, arrested on suspicion of murder on 24 November has been released on police bail until 24 February

  • A 67-year-old man, from Salisbury, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on police bail until 25 February

  • A 22-year-old man, from Fareham, arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on police bail until 25 February

  • A 35-year-old man, from Fareham, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has since been released without charge
