Hampshire PC found guilty of making up alleged assaults

A police officer has been found guilty of falsely accusing a man of assaulting her.

PC Nadia Thurley, of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, was convicted of two charges of perverting the course of justice following a trial at Bristol Crown Court.

The 29-year-old, of Kingfield Green in Woking, Surrey, had claimed she was assaulted on 5 July and 25 July 2021.

She is due to be sentenced on 18 January.

The police force has been approached for comment.
