A man has been found guilty of murdering a man who confronted him after seeing the killer holding hands with his ex-girlfriend.
Thomas Barton, 30, from Brading, Isle of Wight, was repeatedly stabbed in a "swift and brutal attack" in Ryde in May, Winchester Crown Court heard.
Cameron Baker, 28, from Sandown, will be sentenced on Tuesday.
A second defendant, Rio Scott, 28, from Ryde, was found not guilty of murder and manslaughter by the jury.
Mr Barton, a father of one, was stabbed in Park Road, Ryde, in the early hours of 28 May.
He saw his ex, Sammi Creed, holding Baker's hand the previous evening, the jury heard.
Christopher Quinlan KC, prosecuting, said: "She recalled Tommy saying 'You going to do me like that?', meaning that she had wronged him."
Mr Quinlan said the group went to a friend's house where restaurant worker Mr Barton "elbowed" Baker in the head.
Later that night, the victim arrived at Mr Scott's home in Park Road, "intent on confrontation", the prosecutor said.
Mr Barton's father Peter Thomas, 84, who drove him to the scene, said his son "was looking for a fistfight", the court heard.
However, he was stabbed several times and died after staggering to Dover Street, police said.
Baker, of Leed Street, claimed to have acted in self defence while Scott denied any involvement, the prosecutor said.
Previously, Mr Barton's family paid tribute to a "caring and generous man that lived his life to the maximum".
A family statement said: "He will miss out on so much of life, particularly seeing his beloved daughter grow up."
Tommy Barton was an amateur cricketer who played for clubs in Ryde, Ventnor and Lymington.
Det Ch Insp Andrea Douglas said: "Baker demonstrated a shocking display of extreme violence that has not only led to a young man losing his life, but has destroyed the lives of many others as a result."
