Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said the man had been involved in "an altercation" but died following treatment by paramedics.

The force believed the man in the CCTV images was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident.

Officers are also looking for the driver of a grey/silver Nissan Juke, that was seen driving down Bernard Street at the time of the incident and may also have witnessed something.
