Waterlooville: 'Festival of ideas' to aid regeneration

A "festival of ideas" is being held to aid the regeneration of a town centre.
Havant Borough Council has taken over a vacant shop in Waterlooville, Hampshire, where residents and businesses can share ideas about shaping the town's future.
Four days of workshops and drop-in sessions, external will be held at the former GAME store in London Road pedestrian precinct, beginning on Monday.
The ideas will be fed into the council's masterplan.
The interactive workshops will cover key themes, such as living, play, leisure, retail, access and movement.
Deputy council leader Gwen Robinson said: "The Festival of Ideas is an opportunity for us to listen to other perspectives, experiences and aspirations that will contribute to building a plan that truly represents the voices of the people who care about the future of Waterlooville, all of which will be considered as the masterplan is formed."Together, we can build a community that reflects the needs and dreams of every resident."
