Southampton: Woman rescued from river after multi-agency search

The incident happened in the Saltmead area, near St Denys
A woman has been rescued from a river after a multi-agency search operation.
Emergency services began scouring the Saltmead area of the River Itchen in Southampton at about 20:30 GMT on Saturday after reports of someone calling for help.
A Coastguard helicopter was sent to the scene, along with firefighters, who searched the water in the dark.
The woman was taken ashore by an RNLI lifeboat and treated by paramedics. Crews left the area at about 21:30.
South Central Ambulance Service and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary have been asked for an update on the woman's condition.
