Officers discovered the body of Annette Mills at an address in Hampshire

The family of a woman at the centre of a murder investigation have said they are "heartbroken".

Police found the body of Annette Mills, 57, inside a maisonette on Delphi Way in Waterlooville, Hampshire, just before 17:00 GMT on 11 February.

A 37-year-old man, from Waterlooville, was arrested on suspicion of murder and has since been released on bail with conditions.

In a tribute, Ms Mills was described as a "devoted mother and grandmother".

Her family went on to say: "Our whole family is devastated and heartbroken by the sudden loss of our mum and daughter, Annette.

"Our lives will never be the same. Rest in peace our beautiful angel".

A post mortem examination was inconclusive, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said.

An investigation into the circumstances of her death is ongoing.
