An army warrant officer has been sentenced for sending explicit images to two women on a military base.

WO2 Glen Easterbrook, from Aldershot, Hampshire, used a pseudonym to send pictures and videos, prosecutors said.

The 38-year-old was found guilty by Aldershot magistrates of two counts of sending indecent messages in 2022.

He was given a 12-month community order with 80 hours of unpaid work and 30 rehabilitation days. He was also ordered to pay costs of £734.

Carly Loftus, from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), said: "Glen Easterbrook used fake social media accounts in an attempt to coerce his victims into sending explicit images for his own gratification, whilst hiding his true identity.

"The CPS worked closely with Hampshire police to recover the account details from the fake [Facebook and Snapchat] accounts, which led to the identification of Easterbrook as the perpetrator.

"We were able to use this evidence alongside the victims' compelling testimonies to prove that Easterbrook's actions were unwanted and exploitative."

The defendant and the two women were based at Aldershot Garrison, prosecutors said.
