The sky over the south of England appeared to celebrate the start of spring with a spectacular sunrise.

This year, the spring equinox fell on Wednesday 20 March, and the astronomical spring lasts until the summer solstice on Thursday 20 June.

BBC Weather Watchers were up early to capture the second sunrise of the season.
